Execute Application (Per-File)

Launch an external application for each individual file transferred during the Backup step. Runs unconditionally for every file that matches the File Filters.

Application

This step runs during the Backup step — once per file — for each file that matches the File Filters below. It fires unconditionally; there is no outcome condition.

Application
The full path to the application to launch. .exe, .com, and .bat files are executed directly; other file types are opened with their default associated application.
Run in
The working directory for the application. Must be a local or LAN path — FTP is not supported. If blank, the application's own folder is used.
Parameters
Command-line arguments passed to the application. Multiple parameters are separated by semicolons (no spaces around semicolons). Macro strings are supported.
Timeout
Maximum wait time in seconds. Default is 180 seconds. Set to 0 to wait indefinitely.
Wait until completion
When enabled, processing of the next file is held until the application finishes. When disabled, the application is launched and file processing continues immediately.

File Filters

These filters determine which files trigger this application launch. They work within the scope of the Source-level file filters already applied to the task.

Apply action only to
The application is launched only for files matching these masks. The masks must overlap with the Source's Include the listed files only filter (if set) and must not be completely excluded by the Source's Exclude the listed files filter.
Disapply action to
The application is not launched for files matching these masks, even if they match the Apply action only to filter.

Miscellaneous

Display title
A custom name shown in the Task Scenario instead of the default title.
Enabled
When disabled, this step is ignored during task execution.
