Target adjustment
Synchronise Target content with Source by removing files absent from Source and copying files absent from Target. Available in On Completion only.
Overview
Target adjustment synchronises the content of selected Target(s) with Source by: (a) removing from each Target any files that do not exist in Source, and (b) copying to each Target any files that exist in Source but are not yet present in that Target.
This action is available only within the On Completion step. It is fully or partially incompatible in the following circumstances:
- Complete incompatibility. Target adjustment is automatically disabled when the Backup type is set to Move files from Source to Target.
- Incompatibility of individual targets. A Target is excluded from the adjustment list if it does not have the Restore directory tree option enabled, or if its Modify files before transfer option is set to anything other than None.
Target Adjustment
- Condition
- The event that triggers this action. Because Target adjustment is available only within the On Completion step, the condition can be set to Always, All previous steps successful, Any previous step produced an error, or No files were processed — see On Completion for details.
- Adjustment scope
-
Determines whether file filters configured on Source and each Target are applied during adjustment:
- Filtered files only — only files that pass both the Source file filter and the individual Target's file filter are included in the adjustment scope. Files outside the filter are neither deleted from nor copied to that Target. This is the recommended setting.
- All files — file filters are ignored; all files are candidates for deletion or copying. Use with caution: when filters are selective, this option may copy a large number of unexpected files into Target and increase bandwidth load.
It is currently not possible to set a different Adjustment scope for each Target individually.
- List of Targets
- The Targets available for adjustment. Check or uncheck each Target to include or exclude it from the adjustment. Targets that are incompatible (see above) are not shown.
